Privacy Policy

1. Information we do not collect

• No account or sign-up is required to use the app.
• We do not track your browsing activity across websites for advertising purposes.
• We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.

2. Information stored only on your device

The following is created by you as you use the app and is kept in local storage on your device. We never see or receive it unless you explicitly choose to submit it to us (see Section 3):

• Bookmarks and browsing history
• Your library (manga/manhwa/manhua you're tracking, reading status and progress)
• Notes you write
• Custom lists
• Chapters or pages you download for offline reading
• Shortcuts, redirect rules, ad-blocker settings and other app preferences
• Backup files created via Settings → Create backup, which stay on your device (or wherever you choose to save/share them) until you use Restore backup

You can clear most of this at any time from Settings (e.g. "Clear browsing history", "Clear recently read", "Clear cache & site data"), or remove it all by uninstalling the app.

3. Information sent to our servers

MangaSites uses Firebase (a Google Cloud service) for two limited purposes:

• App configuration. The app downloads a curated list of websites, site-reading helpers, and the ad-blocking filter set from our Firebase project. This is a one-way, read-only download — it doesn't transmit anything about you or your device.
• Report an issue. If you choose to use the in-app "Report an issue" form, the email address you type in (optional), your message, and the page URL you were on (if you include it) are sent to our database so we can look into it, and a copy is drafted in your device's own mail app as a courtesy. We only use this to respond to your report.

4. How ad blocking works

Ad and tracker blocking runs entirely on your device using a bundled filter set (based on EasyList/EasyPrivacy). We do not see, log, or receive a list of the pages you visit or the ads/trackers blocked on them.

5. Third-party websites

MangaSites is a browser for publicly available third-party manga, manhwa and manhua websites. We are not affiliated with those websites and have no control over their content, availability, or privacy practices. Any information you provide directly to a website you visit through the app (accounts, comments, payments, etc.) is governed by that website's own privacy policy, not this one.

6. Third-party services we rely on

App configuration data and issue reports are processed using Google Firebase. Google's handling of that data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. App store platforms (Google Play / Apple App Store) may also collect standard installation and diagnostic information under their own privacy policies, independent of this app.

7. Children's privacy

MangaSites is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Data retention

Data stored locally on your device stays there until you clear it or uninstall the app. Issue reports you submit are kept only as long as needed to review and respond to them.

9. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the limited information described above, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
